Other : Ideally, students should have sound knowledge of tool preparation as this does not form part of the course.  All materials are included in the cost.

Students for this course will have some knowledge of tool sharpening & tuning , and will bring with them a well set up basic cabinet-making tool kit, as there will not be any time set aside for preparing tools.

Conquering Chairs looks at the ergonomic design issues involved in making a chair and laying out/working with angled  joints and making and jointing curved components on a small scale.
