I work with great care, knowledge, skill and integrity on items that range from top museum pieces, through modest provincial work, to modern and well-loved family items. Recent commissions include tidying and waxing fill 17th century oak-panelled main first floor room for Historic England’s North East Regional Office at Bessie Surtees House, Newcastle, ongoing maintenance and repair of library cabinet doors and locks at the John Rylands Library, Manchester, and Mousey Thompson oak tables for private collectors.
I am experiences in handling all aspects of insurance work, including water, fire, smoke and transit damage. I offer skilled appraisal of historic pieces, providing condition reports, treatment proposals and estimates. Private enquiries welcome.
